Andrew May our founder has 15 years experience working in the retail sector for some the UK’s largest and most successful organisations. During the time that he attended college on day release from Tesco, Andrew was selected to work in the newly formed store format team. Prior to this he worked as a senior technician within the New Store Planning Team, Extensions, Refits and other smaller store formats like express & Metro.

Retail Surveys

Measured and photographic surveys are always undertaken by Andrew because of his extensive knowledge of retail and his extensive knowledge of building construction.

New working practice 

Our terms and conditions have always clearly state commercial rates are £120 per hour.  From September 1st 2013 we will now be operating the following process for all commercial work undertaken.

You must provide a comprehensive design brief for the proposed work. If you wish us to provide a measured survey of a property we will require a £960 deposit 14 days prior to the survey date. Additional time required to complete the survey must be agreed and confirmed by e-mail prior to the work being started. Please see our terms and conditions for further information.

Drawing time is calculated on an hourly rate. Where drawing work is urgently required but can not be completed within our normal working day of 8 hour, we reserve the right to charge double time for any addition hours over our normal 8 hour working day.

Why we introduced the changes

The photo and drawing below shows an example of the type of work we can produce for a commercial customer.

We were commissioned to survey and produce existing and proposed drawings for this property in Norwich City Centre by a customer. Unfortuneately, having agreed an estimated fee for the survey and drawing work the customer has chosen not to pay us and we are now in the process of taking the neccesary legal action in order to recover our fees and losses.
